Internal reorganisation complete, Jan de Roos has handed the leadership of WoodWing over to its chief financial officer Ross Paterson.

Appointment of the 38-year-old as chief executive follows a process which also included expanding its global footprint to more than 65 countries.

Paterson was the founder in 2007 of consulting firm CFO Partners in 2007, working to support chief financial officers in executing change management and realizing corporate strategies. He brought that background to WoodWing when he took on the role at the end of 2015. Last year he was appointed chief operating officer under De Roos, working on projects to make WoodWing more professional. De Roos says when he joined in February 2017, Paterson played an important role leading this change, as he understood the dynamics of the organisation "like no one else - his leadership skills convinced me that he is the right man for chief executive".

De Roos will retain an advisory role towards the board of the company.

Paterson says WoodWing has a great team, advanced products and growing market interest: "Strengthening our market offerings with innovations is one of my key objectives. This will allow us to work closely together with partners and clients to help companies be even more efficient in the creation, organisation and publishing of content."
