WAN-Ifra has bowed to the inevitable, moving its scheduled Digital Media Asia event from Hong Kong to a virtual venue, and bringing forward the date.
Instead of October 22-23, it will now be held on October 13-15 on a Singapore/Hong Kong timeline, from 10am-5pm.
This year's theme is 'Defining the New Normal - Trends, Technology & Transformation'.
Organisers say "as a new normal emerges from the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic", publishers have to be prepared to seize new opportunities which will be shaped by the powerful forces of technology and ever-changing audience habits.
Digital Media Asia will closely examine the trends and highlight case studies from the world over to help publishers chart the way forward in this dynamic media landscape.
The programme across three consecutive days comprises two plenary sessions per day, plus product showcases or technology demos.
Daily 'power conversations' bring publishers together to exchange ideas, with each 30-minute session limited to 15 participants.
Virtual exhibition booths will enable participants to seek out and source technology solutions to meet their needs.
An 'announcement showcase' of the Asian Digital Media Awards will present "the best of Asia".
