Signs that News Corp's partnership with Nine Entertainment is still progressing today with the announcement of new on-air host and executive appointments.

Previously following news of the Nine merger-acquisition of Fairfax Media, all we could get from News' Holt Street headquarters was a statement that that News would "continue (its) talks with Nine on the progress of the joint venture".

The new joint-venture (News-Nine) business, personal finance and luxury lifestyle channel, dubbed Your Money, has recruited journalist Chris Kohler from Fairfax subsidiary Domain. He joins other Sky News Business journalists including Brooke Corte and Ticky Fullerton.

Kylie Merritt, chief executive of Your Money - which is strictly a partnership between Nine and News' Australian News Channel - announced first key sales hires wit the appointment of Simon Hopkins as commercial director. Hopkins' career includes time with ContentShed, Brand New Media and Fairfax Regional Media.

Also joining the management team at Your Money are Glen Caro as programme director and Nadine Blayney as news director. The three new executives join Merritt and David Ash, previously announced as head of digital.

"Since unveiling the new joint venture in late June we have moved quickly to bring together a strong team of commercial and editorial executives ahead of the channel launch later this year," she said. "The team is well placed to ensure Your Money provides a powerful platform for audiences and advertisers alike across television and multiple digital channels."

Further announcements are promised regarding launch date and programme line-up.
