AIP picks ex-Megtec chief to lead Goss

Three months after welcoming AIP as a "like-minded, forward-thinking organisation", Rick Nichols has bowed out of Goss International, passing the chief executive's baton to Mohit Uberoi.

The new president and chief executive held similar role at dryer and paster maker Megtec (now B&W Megtec), which he joined in 1997 and led from 2003. Babcock & Wilcox bought Wisconsin-headquartered Megtec - itself the product of a merger between the US-based Tec dryer company and its French rival MEG - last year.

A Goss stement says he has significant experience overseeing the transformation of global industrial mid‐market companies with multiple product lines and global locations, with both private equity and public shareholders.

"It is our pleasure to announce that Mohit Uberoi has joined Goss as president and chief executive, effective immediately," said Sparsh Bhargava of AIP. "Under his leadership we are excited about this next stage in the company's history."

Bhargava said Uberoi was "ideally suited" to join Goss as its leader: "He has a strong appreciation for the strengths of the company, its employees, customers and products.

"With his printing industry background, (he) has a deep understanding of the many challenges facing the broader industry. He is a transformational leader, with a proven track record of making businesses successful."

Prior to Megtec, Uberoi (pictured) worked in research and new business development for W.R. Grace & Co, a diversified industrial conglomerate which was once a major player in the flexo market. He earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, before moving to the USA to pursue a PhD in the same subject at the University of Arizona.

"I'm delighted to join Goss at such a pivotal time and look forward to working with American Industrial Partners, our management team, and employees to build a customer responsive, financially strong company with great products and services," he said.
