German logistics giant Deutsche Post DHL is to make use of EidosMedia's Méthode technology to communicate with its 13,000 partner branches.

The group has about 520,000 employees in more than 220 countries and territories, and offers mail and parcel services through 27,000 sales outlets, 13,000 of which are partner branches.

It ius these branches - mostly in cooperation with retailers - which have recently started using Méthode to power a range of communications which range from printed newspapers and magazines to an online 'partner portal' with training courses and manuals.

Problems had arisen with managing quantity and variety of communication channels using office applications and a standard portal, leading to "increasing lack of transparency" over timing of information and ensuring it was up-to-date.

With Méthode, all communication channels to partner branches can be coordinated from a single application. All content goes through a four-step process from document creation and correction to validation and approval, ensuring that all material is accurate and up-to-date.

"The new platform guarantees that our partner branches are supplied with a complete range of focused information," says project manager Gregor Krampe.

The new installation will be used by coordinators and editors in various departments of the Bonn headquarters.
