Belgian printer T'Hooft is updating its Compacta 818 with closed loop colour control.

The Aalter company is installing QI Press Controls' IDS-3D system on the Koenig & Bauer. Production manager Tom Desmet says they expect to be able to reduce the start-up waste considerably.

T'Hooft was founded almost 70 years ago by Raphaél T'Hooft and is still a family business, having grown to one of the most important players in the Benelux region. It prints magazines, catalogues and leaflets, and takes on contract-to-completion orders and offers online marketing services.
