New home, new lease of life for Estonian M600

A Goss M600 at Estonian print company Kroonpress is set for "another ten years" following an automation upgrade.

QI Press Controls has added five of its mRC-3D cameras for colour register, cut-off and sheeter-register and two IDS-3D cameras for colour control on the recently-acquired press.

Production director Gerd Lindmaa says he is counting on more stable print quality and less paper waste thanks to faster start-ups. "In general, we expect higher efficiency in the use of our raw materials," he says.

Automation still on the press from the former user was no longer up to date and technical support was limited. Kroonpress - which has been using QIPC's systems since 2013 - visited reference sites in Baarle-Nassau and Mouscron before placing the order.
