INMA is taking its European Media Innovation Week to Hamburg next year for a conference, seminar and study tour.
The week - from September 23-27 September - also includes an editorial-focused 'scoopcamp' (September 25) specifically for storytellers and organised by nextMedia.Hamburg and DPA.
The European News Media Conference is on Monday-Tuesday (September 23-24), with a local reader revenue seminar on reader revenue and digital subscriptions following on the Wednesday (September 25).
A "deep-dive" study tour of innovative media companies in Hamburg and Berlin follows on September 26-27.
INMA's European division president Gerold Riedmann says the event plans to shine "the brightest light possible on European examples of media companies growing audience, revenue, and brand".
"We want to drill deeper into the innovative Hamburg media market, which is setting the tone for the transformation of German publishers," says Riedmann, who is managing director and editor-in-chief of Austrian publisher Russmedia.

Meinolf Ellers, chief digital officer of German press agency DPA says Hamburg is "Germany's media capital" with brands such as Spiegel, Zeit, G+J, Bauer and ARD public television.
"DPA was founded here 70 years ago and has launched dozens of innovations including the (government-supported) next media accelerator, Europe's leading accelerator program for content driven startups. With the unique combination of INMA's media innovation week and our Scoopcamp conference we look forward to hosting the media innovation community."
