Dates to note for Publish Asia 2019, now set for May 7-9 May in Singapore, include a reminder to hurry along with entries for the Asian Media Awards.

The vibrant Asia-Pacific hub will host more than 300 media executives from over 30 different countries for three days of masterclasses, conference sessions and networking events.

Topics address management and business issues facing newsmedia publishers with the conference examining emerging business models and revenue streams. It will focus on repositioning and optimising business with an emphasis on print, still the core of the industry.

Dedicated sessions focus on the challenges facing editors, newsroom managers and journalists, with topics including new initiatives, trends and solutions, as well as heavyweight issues of concern to editors including challenges to press freedom, the safety of journalists and sustainability.

The programme provides pre-conference workshops on May 7 and the conference on May 8-9.

An early-bird rate currently saves up to 20 per cent off usual ticket prices.

The Asian Media Awards will be presented on May 8, the 17-year-old competition recognising excellence for the region's news publishing industry.

Registration is already open, and entries need to be in by January 25.

Gold, silver and bronze winners will be revealed on the night.
