An interface to Germany's largest vehicle market, mobile.de, is among new features added to ppi Media's self-service portal AdSelf.

The mobile.de workflow is geared towards car dealers which present their ads on the vehicle market in a list in AdSelf, and allows them to automatically generate print ads based on templates.

ppi says the new interfaces - soon to include support for social media ads - are transforming AdSelf into a true cross-channel ad portal which B2B and B2C customers can use to easily place print and digital ads.

Mainz-based, publisher Nürnberger Presse and India's ABP Group in India are among users of the self-service ad portal, which allows both private individuals and commercial customers to place template-based ads in newspapers and magazines.

The company says publishers using the portal have increased ad revenue through integrated upselling strategies that have proven to be successful. Users have the option of selecting alternative, higher-quality formats to present their ads. Sales points, where employees book orders from advertisers in AdSelf, are also supported.

A special workflow for undertakers allows ads to be created both with and without customer data, allowing obituaries to be placed with the option of either paying the publisher the funeral director directly.

There are also plans to allow end customers that use AdSelf to book ads with a publisher to place these ads on various social networks as digital social media ads, increasing the publisher's potential revenue further.
