Incoming and produced content for all of German regional daily publisher Go Verlag's titles is to be managed in a single location using a new suite of web-based tools.

Based in Kirchheim unter Teck, near Stuttgart, the company will use Atex Digital Media be at the heart of the multi-channel newsrooms which produce 186-year-old daily Der Teckbote, weekly Kirchheimer Echo and eight official bulletins.

The implementation of Atex Digital Media will consolidate content management and give provide editors with a simple and efficient work environment. Atex regional sales director Alex Podstata says one of the drivers for the project was to provide a clean and efficient workflow for stories submitted from local contributors - including readers, communities and clubs - which will be normalised, tagged and made available to editors through the Digital Media Desk tool for publication via digital and print channels. The Atex Digital Media web editor will be used to produce and publish online and print content.

Der Teckbote chief editor for local news Frank Hoffman says the strength of the publications lies in the connection to their readers: "We have a strong local footprint, we receive hundreds of contributions that form the backbone of our publications, and our editors need a solution to easily access this amount of information and use it to create journalistic content," he says.

Implementation begins this month following a contract-signing on New Year's Eve.
