DCOS has replaced original drive and control systems on an eight-tower Tensor at Amedia in Bodö, Norway.

The company reports two weeks of preparation prior to silencing the 2006 systems, with the new elements installed, tested and ready for Sunday production.

The press was also upgraded with a new DCOS closed-loop cut-off system, the 200th such camera in Norway across 13 years. Managing director Trond Olsen says, with the closest printshop is six hours away, "it's an understatement to say we are very dependent on a modern supportable press control system".
