German-designed stackers and mailroom equipment will be made in China under an agreement between Gammerler and Goss Graphic Systems (China).
The agreement sees Gammerler's systems - which include conveyors and inline trimming equipment - made in Shanghai for sale in China and southeast Asia.
Managing director Erich Wirthwein says the deal will expand Gammerler's long-standing presence in the Asian region and intensify its "strategic cooperation" with Goss Graphic Systems (China).
With it, the German company takes a further step in its reorientation, as it becomes a cross-industry provider of materials handling technology, process control systems and robot handling.
