As part of a promotion for its new ACE web CMS, Atex has committed to plant a tree for every new prospect it gains.

Designed specifically for news publishing, ACE is an API first, decoupled system.

A new social campaign will promote the product its partnership with Just One Tree, a UK-based organisation which supports reforestation around the globe, focussing on areas severely affected by mass deforestation.

Head of business development at Atex Alberto Mari says that while environmental awareness has increased and most of the paper used for print news now comes from sustainable sources, "there is still a lot to do.

"While we understand the path towards sustainability is complex and we are far from an ideal spot, this campaign is a small step in the right direction."

He says the partnership with Just One Tree is "just a start".
