The New York Times Company will play host to INMA next May when its World Congress of News Media is held in its TimesCenter conference venue.

The focus will be on "disrupting the disruptors" for the 87th annual congress, from May 21-23, with more than 400 executives expected from 40 countries.

A week of activities will include general sessions and breakout seminars - on print innovation, media groups and best practices - presentation of the Global Media Awards at the Harvard Club, a welcome reception at the Museum of Modern Art and a pre-Congress study tour of New York media innovators.

The TimesCenter - owned and operated by the New York Times Company and designed by Renzo Piano - will play host to World Congress sessions and a networking lounge for solution providers.

"The INMA World Congress represents the hopes and aspirations of the most trusted, credible international community of news media executives," executive director and chief executive Earl J. Wilkinson says.

"How can branded news media stand out in the context of information overload, algorithm-driven information bubbles, and fake news? How can we leverage the advantages of digital and technology to generate new revenue and lower costs? How can media companies disrupt the disruptive forces bearing down on them? These are the critical questions INMA will tackle with the New York World Congress."

Details are now available at www.inma.org/worldcongress.
