Seven West Media's Jeremy Brown is among speakers at Brightcove's Play19 event in Boston in May.

The video and advertising solutions architect (pictured) talks live, VOD and server-side addressable advertising during a case history on OTT monetisation, analytics, ROI and scale.

More than two dozen industry specialists join company speakers and others for the pay-to-attend Play19 Break Through event at the Sheraton Boston from May 14-16.

They include Dominik Baumann and video head Sebastian Pfotenhauer from Swiss media giant Ringier, Vengreso co-founder Bernie Borges, and Carl Håman and Örjan Wallén from Swedish broadcast and video production company Wallen Media.

Among keynoters are cyborg activist Neil Harbisson and author-and-concert-pianist Jade Simmons.

Thje three-day programme begins with a series of workshops on aspects of video production; even one on "transforming boring case studies and testimonials into stories that inspire action".

A recent addition is a masterclass on OTT model design, covering content preparation, UX best practices and understanding viewers. "In other sessions, leaders from the broadcasting, publishing and OTT realms will cover how to engage and retain viewers, and the pros and cons of skinny bundles," says Brightcove chief marketing officer Sara Larsen.
