With major changes in Australia's news media market, the publisher-owned The Readership Works is looking for a new contractor for its print audience measurement Emma.

The Enhanced Media Metrics Australia readership survey was developed in 2010, since which time much has changed including the ownership of TRW's members, currently News Corp Australia, Nine and Seven West Media.

Currently Ipsos and Nielsen provide the services under a five-year contract, with Ipsos combining print measurement with Nielsen's digital audience data. TRW is looking for "suitably qualified companies" both locally and globally.

General manager Mal Dale says a review of suppliers and methodologies and technologies is good governance: "The dynamism of the news media industry requires that we partner with the very best research companies to evolve Emma and provide industry stakeholders with the optimum audience measurement solution."

Interested parties can obtain details from admin@thereadershipworks.com.au

The closing date for expressions of interest is August 21.
