New headquarters for Baldwin Vision Systems brings together the talent of former competitors QuadTech, Web Printing Controls and PC Industries.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration has marked the move for the Baldwin Technology unit to premises in Waukesha, Wisconsin, just outside the western suburbs of Milwaukee.

The new business was formed in December last year after the acquisition of the products and expertise of the three companies. The new office houses the division's administrative, engineering, executive leadership, marketing, sales, and customer support teams, including a 24/7 service help desk.

BVS also has regional offices in Amsterdam, Gandhinagar, Shanghai and Tokyo and sales and service teams throughout the world. Manufacturing has been consolidated at the Fairfield, Illinois location.

Baldwin Technology president Brent Becker told employees it "could not be underestimated how much hard work went into this".

"We were competitors before, now teammates with a common goal and a common message. I've seen this team do it better than I've ever seen anyone else do it in my career."

Baldwin Vision Systems president Karl Fritchen says the changes position the company to make a significant impact on printers' bottom lines, and their ability to connect data and workflows to automate their processes. "It's an exciting time for us, our customers, and the wider industry," he added.
