German publisher reiff Medien has upgraded its pagination and production processes, expanding its relationship with ppi Media.

The company had been using ppi's plate production manager, OM for several years, and will now add PlanPag, AdPag and InLink modules for planning, ad pagination and editorial production with InDesign.

Daily and weekly newspapers at Mittelbadische Presse switched OM between 2015-2016, and in May last year the decision was taken to add further 'digital assembly line' components to fully automate newspaper production.

reiff Medien is a 200-year-old family company, and now a regional media corporation across different media. Mittelbadische Presse's group of five daily -Offenburger Tageblatt, Acher-Rench- Zeitung, Kehler Zeitung, Lahrer Anzeiger, and Offenburger Tageblatt Schwarzwaldzeitung - make up the core of print production.
