Top Indian publishers including The Hindu, ABP and Malayala Manorama are again among the winners of WAN-Ifra's South Asian Digital Media Awards.

Twenty judges from around the world evaluated entries, with winners to be honoured at the Digital Media India conference next March.

The awards recognise news publishers which have adopted digital media and mobile strategies as part of their total product offering to meet the major challenges in how people consume news and information today.

"When it comes to success in digital news publishing, innovation, on top of quality content, is the key," said Magdoom Mohamed, managing director of WAN-Ifra South Asia, " and this was what was reflected in the winning entries."

The South Asian Digital Media Awards are presented in ten different categories, with winners to be presented trophies and honoured virtually at Digital Media India 2021 on March 2-4.

Winners of the regional awards compete for the World Digital Media Awards, competing with other winners from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and North America, with world award winners to be announced next year.
