Former DTI president Dan Paulus moves to a new sales role in a new leadership announcement from NewsCycle Solutions.

As chief revenue officer, Paulus takes responsibility for “all sales and marketing functions across the organisation”.

As reported earlier, Preston McKenzie has been appointed chief executive and the former Atex Inc chief executive Scott Roessler becomes chief operating officer.

The changes follow the acquisition of the Atex US operations. Other members of the senior executive team include Jim Sparks, recruited from OptumInsight, as chief financial officer, and Talin Bingham, whose role as chief technology officer was announced in August.

Roessler will oversee support and services including cloud hosting; Sparks’ duties include corporate financial management and compliance as well as administration and human resources; and Bingham manages development and strategic direction of media publishing technologies

McKenzie says the company has recruited a high-performance team that combines well-respected industry veterans with “the fresh perspective of executives from outside the industry”.

The organisational announcements “set the stage” for long-term success: “We have the team and technologies to deliver the highest quality products and services to publishers around the world.”

The combined NewsCycle business conducts business in more than 30 countries across five continents, it says.
