Gurugram in Delhi - also known as Gurgaon - is to be the venue for this year's WAN-Ifra India conference in September.

The 27th annual event is scheduled for September 18-19 at the Leela Ambience Hotel (pictured).

The annual meeting point of news publishers in South Asia, the conference will include two parallel sessions and breakouts, focussing on innovation and print technologies impacting the industry.

Speaker suggestions and topics are invited, with organisers hoping to match and surpass last year's Hyderabad event, attended by 375 senior media executives. "Topics such as strategic operational excellence, distribution models, quality and process efficiency, journalism in challenging times, social media and platform publishing strategies were discussed and presented by leading names from the industry," says managing director Magdoom Mohamed.

In addition to the main sessions, Ifra India Conference will offer workshops, networking dinners and a business expo with limited number of booths. Regular updates about the event will be available at www.wan-ifra.org/india2019.
