By any standards, it was a good night at the Asian Digital Media Awards for the South China Morning Post... but not unusually, local heroes Singapore Press Holdings didn't do badly either.
While Hong Kong-based SCMP took seven awards including four golds in the eighth annual awards, the Straits Times publisher bagged eight for its flagship title and a further two for citizen journalism site Stomp.
Another past winner back for more was Star Media's R.AGE youth site, which won golds for best use of online video and best innovation to engage youth audiences.
The annual regional awards, which received 185 entries from 29 media companies in nine countries, were jointly presented by WAN-Ifra and Google at the end of the first day of the Digital Media Asia conference.
