Former head of EidosMedia's Australian outpost Lodovico de Briganti is going bush again this year.

A regular for the fundraising Smith Family Challenge, he reports this year's event will be based in the NSW Hunter Valley from March 12-14 2020. For what is now the eighth time, he has committed to two days and 100 km of biking, hiking and kayaking.

The annual fundarising event - www.thesmithfamilychallenge.com.au - has

contributed more than $6 million to the Smith Family Learning for Life programme since it started in 2008.

"It's an exhilarating off road adventure where teams of four navigate by foot, bike and on water to the finish line," he says. The 2020 event will be based at Barrington Tops with its base camp in Riverwood Downs, "not promising," says de Briganti.

With challengers meeting all their own event costs, 100 per cent of donations goes directly to the cause, and are tax-deductable. This year the Smith Family is making additional support payments to students and families in bushfire-affected communities.

"I would be grateful if you could help us break the cycle of disadvantage, simply by clicking here

https://www.thesmithfamilychallenge.com.au/s/26/236/e to donate," he says.

This year, the event aims to raise $1.0 million with each team raising at least $50,000.
