German publisher Funke Mediengruppe is extending its software rollout after completing a project phase for Hamburger Abendblatt's magazines.

After using ppi Media and Digital Collections' Content-X since August, the process will now be extended to other magazines.

Funke is a long-term customer of ppi Media, using PlanPag and OM for page production. Head of production service/consulting and application Torsten Landmesser says after partnering with ppi Media for many years, choosing Content-X for magazine "was therefore a no-brainer'.

Funke's activities focus on regional media; women's magazines and TV guides; and digital services. It employs more than 1500 journalists, with daily newspapers in Berlin, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Thuringia.
