Former rivals Goss and manroland have one of their first trade show gigs together at the end of this month on the US press maker's home turf of Chicago.

The newly-merged manroland Goss Group will present their shared commitment to united excellence in web printing, mailroom and finishing solutions at Print 2018 (September 30-October 2).

A spokesperson said the increase in global presence and stability as a unified business entity has allowed the company to focus directly on the needs of customers: "The combination of complementary competencies and joint use of the broad portfolio of equipment and patents opens the doors for creative innovations and developments in packaging, automation, process digitisation, and e-commerce."

manroland Goss Group says it will continue to focus on developing print systems which "open the doors of possibility for new business models" as well as supporting existing production needs. The focus on using the combined expertise of engineers will provides mechanical, automation and closed-loop solutions for all types and all brands of web presses.

manroland Goss will also be represented - by its local sales and service subsidiary - at the WAN-Ifra India Conference in Hyderabad from September 25-27.
