Key trends and digital transformation is the topic for Kalli Purie, a speaker at next month's Digital Media India 2018 event.

The conference is being held from February 7-9 at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel near Mumbai international airport, and promises to discuss all the important topics of the day "and more", according to Suresh Babu.

Others include BBC Digital launch editor Trushar Barot on making use of data analytics, machine learning and AI in newsrooms; DB Digital chief executive Gyan Gupta on driving engagement through personalisation; Ananda Vikatan digital content head K Karthikeyan on trends in internet adoption among Indian speakers; and Times Internet chief revenue officer Gulshan Vermaon a brand solution for advertising revenue generation.

Set for a panel discussion is the question of what would make readers pay for content, with Siddharth Varadarajan (The Wire), Himanshu Desai (Amar Ujala) and Trushar Barot (BBC) set to take part.
