Rapid growth in Asia has prompted data handling specialist Syno International to establish a local production hub in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The news follows Syno's appointment of Jokke Nurminen as chief executive this month, and accompanies continued geographical expansion. Nurminen was previously with online panel market place provider Cint, where he held various roles including country manager and global head of media sales.
Head of strategy and products Lauri Löfveblad says Nurminen is the ideal person to lead continuing expansion: "We have high ambitions with both more offices and new products in the pipeline, and as chief executive, he will be able to contribute extensive experience in establishing new markets combined with a specialty in working with media clients.
Growth in Asia has been spearheaded by Asia managing director Soji Nagano, bringing Syno to the point where the number of clients and projects demands a dedicated local production unit.
The Vietnam hub will initially service Syno's offices in Tokyo, Seoul and Singapore and clients across Asia Pacific. Nagano says the local IT and operations team will work in the same way as that in Europe, enabling it to become "a truly global IT solutions provider".
Syno Asia's team is also being expanded with the appointment of new account manager Hailey at its Seoul office. "With her expertise, we will be able to expand our local focus in previously untapped industries including media and digital advertising," Syno Korea chief executive Amy Kim says.
