Start-ups ready for Berlin 'speed dating'

Seven start-ups with innovative ideas about pblishing are among participants in a new area at the upcoming IfraExpo/DCX in Berlin.

The start-up park - presented by the WAN-Ifra's Global Alliance for Media Innovation - will have its own stage at the expo, with opportunities for networking and 'speed dating'.

The innovations to smooth moves into an era dominated by ad-tech tools, new forms of narrative and engagement such as virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, automated generation of content. New productivity tools powered by machine learning, predictive analytics and business models for monetising digital content will also be featured.

Among start-ups are DSXN (automated production, marketing, digital distribution and billing processes); hyScore.io (contextual data); MagLoft (fully branded apps); Passion 1 (mobile native app platform); PlayPlay (social clip creation); swanest (to attract and engage private investors on your websites); and wingu (a proximity platform for location-based services on mobiles).

IfraExpo/DCX takes place in Berlin from October 9-11.
