SPH-Keppel joint venture wins control of telco

A bid by SPH and Keppel Corporation joint venture Konnectivity for Singapore telco M1 has gone unconditional with its acquisition of more than half of the shares.

M1 is one of Singapore's four licensed telecommunication companies, with Singtel, Starhub and Australian entrant TPG.

Keppel and Singapore Press Holdings announced long-term M1 shareholder Axiata Group had offered its 28.6 per cent stake in acceptance. Konnectivity is reported to have combined acceptances totalling 75.5 per cent.
