Dutch used press equipment vendor GWS has announced a partnership with The Siebold Company which will see the latter represent it in North America.
The agreement with Florida-based TSC covers the US, Canada and English-speaking Caribbean Islands.
TSC - which specialises in electromechanical installation of web offset printing and material handling with over 5,000 installations since 1989 - has recently expanded with the acquisition of both Smith Pressroom Products and Dauphin Graphic Machines (DGM).
President Jim Siebold says consolidation in the newspaper and commercial web industries in North America has made high-tech project solutions based on used equipment a viable option. "The combined industry experience of our two companies allows us to offer unique high end services and products to printers and publishers in our areas," he says.
GWS commercial director Eric van Kessel says the company had been looking for a new partner following the retirement of US sales executive Ton Tinnemans after almost 20 years. "Siebold turned out to be the perfect fit, as they work at the same high level of quality we do," he says. "Together we will not only be offering excellent quality used equipment originating from Europe, but will have complete solutions including the required maintenance, service and after sales support."
