Solstice Media - which launched its InQueensland digital masthead in February - is weighing into the upcoming state election with a campaign emphasising 'balanced reporting'.

A new TV and online campaign to appear on Seven, Nine, Ten, includes the slogan, 'The Voice of Qld, not Murdoch'.

The InQueensland digital masthead is modelled on Solstice's InDaily in Adelaide, and is owned by a consortium including Eric Beecher and Paul Hamra.

Rupert Murdoch's US-headquartered News Corp (through its Australian subsidiary) publishes metro daily the Courier-Mail, national daily The Australian, the Townsville Bulletin, the Gold Coast Bulletin, the Cairns Post, and the Toowoomba Chronicle in print in Queensland, in addition to numerous digital mastheads, most of which were print editions until earlier this year.
