Italy's Centro Stampa Quotidiani - noted for its mix of offset and digital print production - is further upgrading its Wifag presslines.

An order for QI Press Controls' IDS-3D auto colour and dampening controls on five towers of its OF370GTD press mimics one for four towers, and is the fifth order placed with the Dutch company since 2005.

CSQ general manager Dario de Cian says the order is identical to one in 2015: "We're now expanding the IDS-3D system to the second part of the press. Our aim is to work even more efficiently."

The company - which also uses an HP inkjet web line to print localised supplements -envisages increased print quality from the development.
