With exceptional weather events becoming almost everyday, being prepared for the next disaster has become a hot topic for newspaper production managers.

That could make the Business Continuity Meeting at this year's 51st Metro Production Conference one of the most important.

All MPC attendees are welcome at the Business Continuity Meeting's 16th annual summit on May 30, which will focus disaster and emergency production preparedness.

The Metro Production Conference (May 30-June 2) kicks off after this with a welcome reception on Thursday evening (May 30), followed by a full day of meetings on Friday and the evening's gala reception.

Saturday's programme centres around user group and round table meetings, with the conference adjourning that afternoon.

Venue is again the Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, Florida, with registration now open. The agenda includes a general session with "topics for everyone" and separate, equipment specific meetings - a dual approach to information sharing and problem solving.

Registration details are here.
