It's time to start collecting copies to send in for this year's PANPA Newspaper of the Year technical excellence categories.
The categories are among six in the Australia-based competition, entries for which opened today.
The awards recognise outstanding print and digital news media brands in categories also including digital destinations and photography, the Hegarty Scholarship and environment awards, and the top Newspaper of the Year prizes.
The awards will be presented at the Newspaper of the Year dinner at Sydney's new International Convention Centre on September 6.
Entries are limited to "financial members" of NewsMediaWorks and Country press associates. Entries close on June 16. In the case of technical excellence entries, must have been printed between May 8-June 11, with entrants being told on June 13 which dates to submit. Most other entries cover the year to June 16.
Entries in the PANPA Advertising & Marketing Awards have already closed, and will be presented at a cocktail party on September 7 at the Art Gallery of NSW, ahead of this year's Future Forum. Finalists will be announced on June 14.
