User successes and product innovations were on the agenda at the EidosMedia customer meeting in London last week.

Marketing director Massimo Barsotti says customers from all over the globe shared their stories and discovered upcoming features.

Among them, Bala Sundaramoorthy, executive director consumer systems told how US group Cox Media has implemented Méthode to power a nationwide portfolio of more than 100 news websites. The project is the first entirely cloud-based Méthode newsroom accessed through the web-based Swing interface.

Spanish media group Vocento - a long-term EidosMedia customer since the 2000 -shared their long experience with Méthode. Subdirector of technology and systems. Juan Maria San Felix says the platform has always been central to their digital operations, allowing journalists to completely change the way they worked, having one centralised platform for all editorial contents.

Logistics group Deutsche Post uses Méthode to manage internal communications with their worldwide workforce, and digital media manager Daniel Pankats told of a new project using Méthode to manage exchanges with its 15,000 local retail partners in Germany.

The session was concluded with guest speaker Massimo Guarnieri. The digital strategy and identity manager at Italian multinational oil and gas company Eni described the growing importance of content management within the organisation, and best practices in using the available technological tools to reach their target audiences.

Later attention turned to the latest developments from EidosMedia with the new Cobalt and Cobalt Live frameworks, which provide easy management of websites, blogs and dynamic live experiences.

A new extension of Swing will allow complex document management for the creation, not only of financial reports, but also books and marketing material. Swing's new workflow options for the creation of print products were also demonstrated.

The entire product suite will be available in the next release at the end of July.

Cobalt (release 2.5) now has A/B testing features for both themes and contents, with test results - gathered through interfacing with common analytics platforms - displayed directly within the Cobalt workspace.

With the latest addition to the digital suite, Cobalt Live, users can create and manage live blogs through Swing or using a mobile app, choosing collaborators and moderation options.

Swing is becoming a valuable solution for complex document management, ideal for users on the move. Reports can be created and edited within the web client, previewing both the print and the digital version.

Generation of a print preview uses the new Méthode Automatic Pagination feature which improves flexibility in terms of customisation and design. An organisation can now use Swing to prepare content for its print channel, with the exception of page layout design, which remain a unique function of Prime. Users can create content and link it to shapes, see a real-time preview, view copyfit information and even adjust content to layout and vice versa.

A gala networking gala dinner at Shangri-La at the Shard delivered a social highlight to the event and spectacular views of London's skyline.

Local customer meetings are being planned to showcase the latest developments and enhancements to the entire line of products.
