An upgrade of QIPC and EAE systems at IPM Press Print (formerly Sodimco) follows a fact-finding tour of IDS-3D users in the Netherlands.

IPM Press Print in Anderlecht, Belgium, will address problems of print stability and start-up waste on its four-tower Goss Universal with a package which includes cut-off, register and colour controls, IQM monitoring and integration with its EAE systems, which will also be upgraded.

Improved ease-of-use will reduce manpower requirements to a single full-time employee, and drastic savings in waste are expected from the current 3,000 copies per start-up period. The whole package will also lead to improved consistency of product quality.

IPM Press Print is the print plant of Belgian media group IPM Groep, which is active printed matter, magazines, newspapers, internet and television.
