Malaysian press engineering company Mebiz Engineering has celebrated a move to new premises with an open day for partners and customers.

The company is a subcontractor for Goss engineering works, the local agent for QI Press Controls, and undertakes refurbishment and overhaul work for customers in Malaysia and southeast Asia.

A 2040 m2 assembly hall at the Seri Kembangan site, south of Kuala Lumpur, provides room for multiple overhauls.

Owner Sam Goh has about 40 Goss Urbanite and Community printing units waiting for overhaul. The thorough process includes stripping units “to the bone” with worn parts replaced and electronics brought up to the latest standards as required.

An opening event on January 18 was supported by Mebiz partners including Bottcher and QI Press Controls, the latter presenting a brand new demo unit of the recently launched mRC-3D camera.

More than 100 invited guests were entertained with refreshments and taken on a tour of the new premises.
