It's a long way from New York, but the 'Grey Lady' has become a frequent visitor to WAN-Ifra's events in Asia.
Michelle Haase was in Hong Kong for the paper last year, and Helena Phua - regional vice president for the International New York Times - is on this year's speaking programme.
And as Publish Asia moves to Bangkok, there's the New York Times' Thomas Fuller offering to show you around a city which, he says, "has hit the sweet spot".
In a '36 hours' mini feature he talks of "luxuries, pampering and great food", modern but "far from antiseptic" and still affordable. But then you'll probably know that and have your own favourite haunts to add to Fuller's.
Phua will outline INYT's approach to growing its business in Asia and share some of its new print and digital initiatives for the region.
Publish Asia organisers say about 400 media executives are expected to gather and discuss the key issues of a changing news publishing from April 28-30.
Mario Garcia - much in demand at the moment for his views on the role of the smartwatch in the "media quintet" - is among speakers. Founder and chief executive of Garcia Media, he is one of the world's most famous media gurus having completed close to 700 consulting projects in 120 countries and won more than 300 SND awards.
From local giant, Thairath - or rather its broadcasting and digital arm - is Vachara Vacharaphol, chief executive of TrendVG3. 'Khun Junior' will relate TrendVG3's journey in the launch of the mass-circulation publisher's launch of a new TV in a 'From newspaper to broadcaster' session.
From Groupe L'Equipe in France, Frédérique Lancien will talk about the new digital businesses and products she developed for France's leading sports newspaper. The group's digital and new business director, she will present latest achievements as part of the 'Diversifying revenue streams' session.
New additions to the speaking list are Asha Phillips, founder of Verily, and Yahoo! regional managing editor Alan Soon, both of whom are founders of the new Online News Association Singapore chapter.
Other confirmed speakers include Pit Gottschalk (Axel Springer, Germany), Supakorn Vejjajiva (Post Publishing, Thailand), Mark Pope (Dow Jones Asia, HK), Stephen Rae (Independent News & Media, Ireland), Maria Ressa (Rappler, Philippines), Thepchai Yong (Nation Multimedia Group, Thailand), Eamonn Byrne (Byrne Partnership, UK), Sanat Hazra (Times of India technical director), JeongDo (JMNet, South Korea) and Iain Martin (Storyful, Hong Kong).
Social and networking events include a welcome reception on April 28, hosted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and the Asian Media Awards 2015 Gala Dinner on April 29, sponsored by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau.
Publish Asia 2015 returns to the Centara Grand Hotel at CentralWorld. Registration and additional information on Publish Asia is available at www.publishasia.com
