Australian leading lady Wendy Matthews gets the gig to entertain at the National Print Awards dinner in May.
Matthews leads entertainment at the Media Super-sponsored event at Waterview in Sydney's Bicentennial Park on May 15. Chair Susan Heaney says it was "a real coup" to secure her for the industry's 'night of nights', already expected to be a sell-out event: "She is a wonderful artist and powerful performer with an extraordinary, crystal-clear voice and soulful style which has not only seen her music chart consistently over her long and illustrious career, but has earned her one of the strongest live followings in Australia," she says.
"We are delighted she is able to join us and urge anyone who intends to be there to book early."
The dinner coincides with the final day of the PrintEx15 exhibition at nearby Sydney Showground.
Matthews has numerous top 20 singles and albums to her credit and has won seven ARIA awards.
The evening includes presentation of NPA gold medals and special awards including the Media Super Young Executive of the Year, the Media Super Printing Industry Legend, the Currie Group Award for Brilliant Images in Print, the Fuji Xerox Effectiveness Award and the Heidelberg Australia Award for Excellence. Tickets are $125 each.
