KBA says it has scored standout results from the first three days of Print China in Guangdong.

A 1000m2 stand at the show - which closes on April 12 - has been rewarded with a strong order book. It will be KBA's largest trade show before DRUPA 2016.

While the order focus is on sheetfed, with longstanding and new customers ordering half, medium and large-format Rapida presses in various configurations, Chinese customers include leading newspaper and magazine printers.

Print samples were distributed from the new RotaJET L high-volume inkjet platform - which has web widths from 890-1300 mm - have been well received. KBA also demonstrated the extent of its group offering with samples of flexible packaging from its Flexotecnica presses, decorated glass bottles produced on screen and digital systems from its KBA-Kammann subsidiary - which recently opened a showroom in Shanghai - and inkjet coding systems for the Chinese market from KBA-Metronic (Hangzhou) Co.

Says KBA China chief executive Walter Zehner, "At Print China we are showing that we can offer our Chinese customers proven solutions for almost all printing needs. This fact is still not known throughout China and we aim to promote our image as a solutions supplier."
