Nstein has announced WCM 4.1, a feature-rich upgrade to its award-winning content management system which now includes a portable mobile back-office version of WCM called Mojo designed to allow smart-phone equipped writers, journalists and editors to create, edit and publish content in the field.
In its ‘mobile back-office’ mode users can create news, slideshows and polls, moderate comment and approve editorial. Editorial staff can browse all the content on their site, wherever they are. The facility also displays site statistics including hit counts, ratings and semantic relationships.
In its ‘content creation gateway’ mode it uses POP, IMAP or Exchange email protocols to send content directly into the WCMs system. The gateway reads incoming emails and uploads them directly into WCM, so users can create content from wherever they are, needing only email access. Functioning as a standalone application it supports text and photos and can be extended to support other media objects.
Other features to the WCM 4.1 upgrade include a customisable drag-and-drop dashboard, and support for WordPress and other blogs and forums.
