Taking a hike: de Briganti joins the ‘sweaty execs’ again

The call of the wild has taken Lodovico de Briganti again… and you can share the journey.

After last year’s Forster success, the “crazy” EidosMedia Australia general manager has signed up for a second Smith Family Challenge, this time on the NSW South Coast region of Jervis Bay.

And this is the appeal: “If I can spend two days hiking, biking and rowing over 100 kilometres with a group of sweaty executives would it really be too much to ask you for a little support,” he says.

The annual team race aims to raise much-needed funds to help young Australians in need, to create better futures for themselves through education. “Not so crazy me,” says de Briganti.

Last year, with team members Andrew Lennox and Neil Keller, pictured, his effort raised $24,500 in the Smith Family Challenge event, currently the fourth-best total.

His online fundraising page http://thesmithfamilychallenge.com.au/?ldebriganti takes the cash and delivers a receipt, which is tax deductible in most cases.

The event on the weekend of March 7-8 will see participants hike, bike and row their way across lakes, rivers, beaches, cliff tops, bush and ocean. More information is at http://thesmithfamilychallenge.com.au/?About+the+Challenge

In addition to taking on the physical aspects of the Challenge, each participant will be making a $2,000 personal contribution to cover the costs, so 100 per cent of all funds raised will go directly to The Smith Family
