Adobe's Livefyre acquisition streamlines UGC

Private content curation and audience engagement company Livefyre is to become part of Adobe Experience Manager following a definitive agreement for its purchase.

The platform helps publishers find, curate and publish user-generated content which can then be streamed in real-time to their sites, ads, emails, TV, digital billboards, and apps.

Plans for integration of Livefyre into Experience Manager will streamline publication of content from social networks, and see it made available across the eight digital marketing elements of Adobe Marketing Cloud.

Livefyre founder Jordan Kretchmer says joining Adobe will give brands the ability to deliver a breadth of "impactful, highly personalised digital experiences" and bring unparalleled content capabilities to its customers.

Bringing together branded and curated social content from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other major social networks will accelerate content marketing and open a unique opportunity for marketers to further drive customer engagement and conversion.

Livefyre customers include CNN, Cox Media Group, Dow Jones Wall Street Journal, Huff Post Live, News Corp and Tourism Australia.

Terms of the acquisition, which is subject to closing conditions, were not disclosed.
