Airtasker, the local services startup in which Australia's Seven West Media has a 15 per cent share, has launched an 'ecosystem partnership programme' with a deal with The Good Guys.
Seven West led a $22 million funding round for the company last month, and will provide media support and investment.
A new installation platform allows the retailer's customers to connect with its installers, track and coordinate their service, manage variations, access certificates and rate their experience.
"This is an Australian first, and we're expecting it to trigger a fundamental shift in how retailers think about the post-purchase customer experience," Airtasker cofounder and chief operating officer Jonathan Lui says.
The Good Guys chief marketing officer Robert Ambler-Frazer says the retailer has an existing network of about 400 installers, who now have access to "more jobs from more stores".
The Ecosystem Partnership programme aims to leverage Airtasker's expertise in building online marketplaces, and scaling that to other industry verticals.
