Malaysian daily the Malay Mail will cut staff and concentrate on digital publication when its print edition ceases at the end of November.
The tabloid newspaper - which is Malaysia's oldest, established in 1896 - expects to cut 55 of its 165 staff with the change.
With daily sales down from 60,000 in 2008 to 10,000 now, editor-in-chief Datuk Wong Sai Wan says "the old way of doing the newspaper business" with advertising subsidising circulation, editorial and printing costs, is no longer viable.
