Pacific Magazines has extended its WoodWing CMS for the launch of its new ‘Prevention’ magazine project, which is to include a website and books. The company – the publishing arm of Australia's Seven television network – has been using WoodWing editorial systems since 2007, and has extended Dutch developer’s Enterprise 6 and Content Station systems for the new title. Business liaison manager Fraser Crozier says productivity improvements were already evident, and a strong development platform was being former from which to leverage workflow efficiencies. “The software has proven to be relatively simple to deploy throughout our divisions in Australia and New Zealand, and we are looking forward to ongoing rollouts,” he says. “With recent upgrades, there are a number of additional value-added propositions that can be exploited out-of-box… and a lot of promising developments on the horizon." ‘Prevention’ is a new healthy lifestyle magazine for Australian women age 40 and over. A ‘360-degree’ brand, it will support women's health ambitions with an in-depth website, a stream of special books and other publications and iconic events. Pacific was WoodWing’s first customer in Australia, following a pilot on ‘Who Magazine’ with an ongoing rollout from 2008 implemented with Creative Folks. WoodWing Asia Pacific managing director Remco Koster describes them as “a cutting-edge company in every way. They saw the success that we're enjoying with Time Inc.'s titles in the US, and with large magazine companies around the world, and we're very happy to have them as part of the WoodWing family."
