A 30-year-old manroland Lithoman heatset press is among plant for sale in Richmond, USA following the closure of the Cadmus printing plant there.

An online auction is already attracting small bids, but the 1422mm-wide Lithoman and a 1984 Hantscho Mark 7 web are being offered by private sale.

Included in the online sale are two Müller Martini saddle stitchers and three inserters, Stahl Heidelberg and MBO folders and Gammerler trimmers. The auction opens on August 13 with a lot closing every 45 seconds.

Some 184 employees lost their jobs when Cenveo Worldwide closed the plant in Byrdhill Road in May, after the COVID-19 pandemic hurt business. Cenveo bought the 23,600 m2 plant as part of Cadmus - then North America's fifth-largest periodical printer - in 2007.
