First-of-kind inserters expand advertising options in Bangkok

The first two Müller Martini ProLiner inserters in Asia have been commissioned at Bangkok 'Daily News’ printer Si-Phya Publishing. The new systems deliver a number of options for the Thai daily, making its advertising environment even more appealing and creating new opportunities. The broadsheet newspaper, typically up to 40 pages, often produces heatset jackets, and the two ProLiners, each with four feeders, support three production options. A two or four-page carrier can be fed via the first feeder, and have the newspaper (from the press) inserted via the second feeder. It is then re-opened for editorial or commercial sections or inserts to be added. Another opton is for both inserts to be placed in the carrier medium alongside the newspaper, with no second opening. Inserts can also be placed in the newspaper without a carrier medium. The two machines were assembled and tested at the factory in Switzerland prior to delivery, ensuring ensuring a hitch-free commissioning process.
