Sin Chew Media Corporation has ordered three more Kodak Generation News CTP lines for its Tebrau, Johor printing plant through Accel Graphic System.

The newspaper plant caters for Chinese readers in southern Malaysia, and complements Sin Chew’s Petaling Jaya site where three of the Kodak platesetters were installed in 2009 and 2010 along with Glunz & Jensen processors and inline Vision punch benders.

With additional press equipment at Johor, prepress facilities are being upgraded to control print variation and maintain quality standards within the group.

Distributor Accel also supplies Kodak’s ThermalNews Gold plates to the sites.

Sin Chew Media, based at Petaling Jaya, has newspaper print sites in Prai, Tampoi in Johor, Kuching, Sibu and Miru. They have gradually acquired the best technologies for production of ‘Sin Chew Daily’, which has the largest Chinese readership in Malaysia and is a regular winner of quality awards.
