Fairfax Media struts technical innovations as well as advertisement positioning ideas in a sample newspaper for creatives.

Wrappers and panoramas (pictutred) – including opne printed on translucent paper – are showcased in the product published by the Fairfax 360 creative media solution unit.

Almost anything is up for grabs in a range of advertisement shapes and positions in which Fairfax “aims to break down the boundaries” of traditional on-the-page ad formats.

The 64-page ‘Creative Newspaper’ shows ideas used by advertisers including Toyota, Telstra, David Jones and Singapore Airlines. One for Veet hair removal, shows a  razor “shaving” words off the page.

The newspaper is being showcased this week at the Communications Council’s inaugural Circus festival.
